T&H systems that were satisfactory in the 1980s are often inadequate today, and the equipment designed during that period cannot keep up with current demands. To improve comfort, temperature setpoints are lowered, but systems that cannot adequately dehumidify the air leave the humidity high and the space feels “sticky” and uncomfortable.
